{Settling In} – Atlanta Baby and Child Photographer – Laura Brett

PinExt {Settling In} Atlanta Baby and Child Photographer Laura Brett

Moving is hard and settling in has been more difficult than we ever imagined. Over the years we have moved, but this is our first experience moving with children. Adjusting to new surroundings, schedules and friends has brought new meaning to our life. You forget the normal dailies you are accustomed to and you make adjustments where needed to fit to your new routine. Onward and upward is what I say. Our son, on the other hand, keeps saying, “Mommy, I want to go home.”……..Like I said, moving is hard.

So here’s to new traditions, memories and friends in our new home in Georgia.

Beautiful and sad photo all at the same time. I know the feeling. We had to move with our kids when they were in 2nd & 5th grade. It was so hard on the boys but it’s been 10 years now and it was the best move ever. We love it here and they have lots of friends. Don’t worry it will all work out. Remember God has a plan.

I HAD to pop in here and tell you that this picture is AMAZING!! I LOVE seeing pictures of your kids with that awesome dog:):) My hubby is REALLY going to think I’ve lost it when I tell him we need a Basset Hound so I can photograph it lol

Hang in there until they settle in….you will find a new “normal” soon!!!

Julie - February 16, 2010 - 7:56 pm

Oh, dear little guy. :( We’ve moved several times as well (only during my own childhood) and the adjustment period is hard. I’m sure he’ll settle right in and find some new friends and never look back.

BTW I absolutely LOVE that picture. Wow–very powerful, especially along with the story (and your black & white conversion is just so dramatic–love it).
